We are open for individual visitors from April 1 to October 31, 2025.

Tours offered:

Bronze tour, about 40 minutes
Silver Tour - guided tour with chocolate tasting, about 1,5 hours (the NÖ-CARD applies here)
Gold Tour - guided tour with chocolate tasting and optional beer tasting incl. demonstration of cosmetic or praline production on selected days, about 2,5 hours.
Platinum Tour - guided tour by our owner Wolfgang Stix possible on request.

All tours start and end at the STYX Welcome Center!

Traditional wisdom, classic recipes and modern production processes – come with us on a journey through the World of STYX. Take a look behind the scenes of the biggest natural cosmetics manufacturer in Austria with us, and experience the family company up close and personal. Immerse yourself in the world of cosmetic manufacturing, let yourself be tempted by the delicious ORGANIC chocolate from our chocolate factory, or taste our self-brewed beer at Bahnhofsbräu in Ober-Grabendorf.

STYX Welcome CENTER

Since April 2022, visitors can join a "tour of the senses".

In the newly built STYX Welcome Center you will learn everything about the historical development of natural cosmetics production, get to know the philosophy of the company and look behind the scenes of the STYX company.
Test our products, taste the homemade organic chocolates or enjoy our in-house beer.

Natural cosmetics

Our core competence is natural cosmetics, which we manufacture as a family-run company now in its 3rd generation in Austria. Come, visit and see for yourself, our more than 750 products exclusively use high quality raw materials procured from sustainable sources. Get to know our philosophy, discover the changes in natural cosmetics manufacturing since our founding.

Chocolate factory

Let us entice you with sweet treats and elegant chocolate creations. Dive into the history of chocolate manufacturing and let one of our samples melt in your mouth.

Bahnhofsbräu and beer experience

Private parties and tastings as well as brewing seminars can be booked:

Discover the lovingly restored Ober-Grafendorf train station, and priceless mementos from the time of steam locomotives. Finish your visit with our self-brewed beer, and enjoy your stay with a home made, crispy knuckle of pork (only when pre-ordered!)

Small children (up to and including the age of 6): free admission
Children (6 up to and including 12 years): 1,50 EUR
Adults: 3,00 EUR
Reduced admission (Seniors 60+, students, military personnel, people with disabilities): 2,00 EUR

Time with the family is very important at STYX Naturcosmetic. For this reason, our production is closed on the weekend. Nevertheless, we look forward to your visit and an exciting guided tour. Our short films will give you an authentic insight into the daily production and our guides will clearly explain the processes in our natural cosmetics- and chocolate manufactory.

NÖ Card
A visit (Silver Tour) with the NÖ Card is free. Guided tours take place from April 1 to October 31, 2024, from Wednesday to Sunday, as well as holidays at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm.

Wilde Wunder Card
You can visit us (Silver Tour) free of charge with the Wilde Wunder Card.

FAMILIENPASS & FAMILY EXTRA CARD
We give families (2 children, 2 adults) 20% discount on the admission tickets (Silver Tour).

Special programme for children in the summer holidays

Children discovering the World of STYX – on the trail of herbs and sweet treats

Do you fancy becoming a discoverer or natural cosmetics manufacturer?
Or even a chocolate tester?

Then we look forward to welcoming you to our experience tour. You will find out the history and quite a few interesting facts about the world of medicinal plants and wild herbs, like how and what you can use them for, during a walk through our small yet impressive herb garden.

Test your knowledge and your sense of smell in the riddle rally and look over the shoulder of our chocolatiers as they manufacture our organic chocolate; and of course a chocolate tasting is a must!

We will also offer our popular tours and workshops for school classes in the 2023/24 school year.
In-depth tours on special topics such as export, marketing, sales etc. are possible on request.

Accessibility

Parking: You can find parking spaces for people with special needs (disabled parking spaces) in front of our shop.
Seating options: Individual chairs are located in the production areas.
Toilets: You can find accessible toilets in our STYX Welcome Center and in the bistro.
Assistance dogs: Bringing assistance dogs is allowed.
Companion: Free admission for a companion of blind people and/or visitors pushed in a wheelchair, if a companion is mentioned in the badge.
Access to the production area: All display areas are handicapped accessible.
Tours: We offer separate tours for blind and visually impaired visitors on request. These are only possible by pre-booking and in a group.
Herb garden: Our garden is freely accessible. However, please note that cobblestones are laid on the path.

Good to know!

For hygienic reasons, dogs are unfortunately not allowed in the STYX Welcome Center, in the store and in the production buildings. Dogs on a leash are welcome in the outdoor area! For the safety of your pet, we recommend that you bring a muzzle.
Photography is allowed with the exception of the production area. We also enjoy nice photos and memories.
Parking spaces are available in front of the STYX Welcome Center, as well as at the Ober-Grafendorf train station.
Bus groups are also very welcome. We have plenty of bus parking spaces on site.
Our Bahnhofsbräu has seating for up to 40 people. Please take this into consideration when booking.
STYX Remise – our event venue is located in the immediate vicinity of the Ober-Grafendorf train station. There are also plenty of parking spaces on site. STYX Remise has a capacity of up to 300 people. You can send enquiries by e-mail to remise@styx.at.
STYX Naturcosmetic and chocolate factory is a production company. Our working hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. On Fridays our production site is alternately in operation all day, or our employees have the day off. On the weekends and on public holidays, our production site is closed. However, the factory tours still take place and we are happy to show you all the areas. We ask for your understanding that we can only give you an insight to what you see via videos and/or our clear, lively explanations on these days.
Our chemist’s shop museum is small but nonetheless interesting, and should give our visitors a first glimpse into the past and family history.
Due to hygiene regulations, we are not allowed to enter the production areas directly. However, we can give you an insight into these areas via the visitor aisles.
Our team of guides put their heart and soul into their work, and are always happy to welcome interested visitors. They are happy to share all their knowledge and give you an insight into our philosophy, working methods and the various productions. Train experience
Experience the fascination of steam locomotives and immerse yourself in the history of the longest narrow gauge railway in Austria.

During your visit to the WORLD OF STYX you can admire the steam engine Mh.6, and discover interesting facts from the history of the Mariazell railway and exciting background information as you take a tour of the boiler house.
