We are the only CO2 neutral climate alliance operation in the natural cosmetics industry
We primarily obtain our raw materials from Austria, or the product related origin of plants and herbs e.g. lavender from Provence. This is done with the highest attention to quality. The finest raw materials such as organic quality or wild herbs, cold pressed plant oils or 100% pure, essential oils are the requirement for excellent, highly effective natural cosmetic products.
The sustainability and subject of “packaging” are very important to us. We are constantly looking for better and more sustainable solutions.
More information
Alongside the naturalness of the products, their ecological, sustainable production is equally important to us. The use of renewable energy is a given for us. An in-house wood chipping plant combined with systematic reforestation by our regional partners, and the exclusive use of green power allows us to produce in a climate-neutral way.
STYX produces the whole product range in three different production halls. According to the packaging type, there are in-house machines for jar filling, tube filling and bottling. All of the raw materials are mixed in one of the two cream mixers. These have a capacity of 100 kg and 1,000 kg. At full capacity, up to 5,000 kg of creams can be produced daily.
STYX’s electric car fleet now boasts four vehicles and three charging stations. These vehicles are used for errand trips and deliveries within an 80 km radius. Therefore, the pollution-intensive short journeys can be carried out in an environmentally friendly way with one of the electric powered vehicles.
The finished products are then temporarily stored in one of the two warehouses, and wait there for delivery to our customers. Our qualified warehouse employees work with a special software to guarantee a professional merchandise management system.
We also ensure an ecological responsibility in packaging. We use scrap cardboard which we make ourselves as padding material instead of bubble wrap as well as corn chips. This means that on the one hand we are minimising our cardboard waste, and on the other hand saving environmentally incompatible plastic.
Transport is an important aspect for STYX. For this reason, an intensive cooperation takes place with our transport partners such as freight forwarders and parcel services. The aim is primarily to raise awareness of the topic of sustainability, and consequently implement Co2 compensation measures.
We consciously choose transport partners who have already implemented successful sustainability management. Here, we place particular importance on Co2 compensating measures. These are checked by us and further developed in a joint dialogue. The STYX transport concept stands out due to our environmentally conscious transport partners and our environmentally friendly delivery with the electric cars.
